How to Donate to TKO Premier SC
TKO Premier SC is a non-profit organization whose direct goal is to help young athletes in the greater Kalamazoo and Portage area. Many of our coaches grew up in the club and have come back to share their expertise and soccer knowledge with our players. Our Board of Directors strives to keep costs low for all families and offers Player Scholarships funded by Club fundraising events and Club donations. Throughout the season we have several sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses.
TKO Premier SC has three pillars that we build upon, Talent, Knowledge, and Opportunity. We have aligned our donation funds based on these three pillars.
If interested in learning more about corporate sponsorship opportunities, please contact Casey Alger, TKO Premier SC Club Development & Sponsorship Director.
Talent
We have two funds that work on increasing the Talent of our club, the Player Scholarships Fund, and the '83 Alumni Fund. These two funds help families with the costs associated with the pay-to-play system. The Player Scholarships Fund is used to pay a player's club fees. The ‘83 Alumni Fund is a supplemental scholarship that is designed to help out with additional expenses associated with extended travel for our older more competitive teams.
Knowledge
Our Coaching Education falls under our Knowledge Pillar. The Coaching Education Fund is used to send our coaches to Conferences and Symposiums. It is also used to cover the cost of coaching certifications. We currently have coaches that are certified by both USSF and USC. As part of our Michigan Directors Academy (DA) membership, our DA coaches must attend at least one (1) MSYSA approved coaching education event each year. The Coaching Education Fund helps to cover those costs.
Opportunity
We have two funds that work on increasing the Opportunities of our club, the General Fund, and the Equipment and Facilities Fund. Our General Fund is used at the discretion of the board to seek opportunities and changes in the soccer community of Greater Kalamazoo. The Equipment and Facilities Fund is used for coaching equipment, such as goals, balls, pennies, and portable lights for the fall training.
