The Director's Academy (DA) is considered an Elite Program by its governing affiliate, the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA). This statewide league offers 9v9 competition at the U10, U11, and U12 age groups as well as a 7v7 tier for U10. This league accepts entry by club-application only, ensuring all club participants meet the higher-than-average competitive standards set by the state.

After league communication with each club's Director of Coaching, teams will be placed into ability appropriate tiers.  By placing teams into tiers the goal is development by to creating a competitive game environment that provides teams with meaningful games.

In all age groups, teams are scheduled to play approximately 8 games in the fall, and 6 games plus Junior State Cup in the spring. All teams in DA are required to play in Junior State Cup.

In keeping with the philosophy of the development-first approach, there is not a public posting of DA league scores with the exception of U12 Tier 1 Spring. This U12 spring tier is a qualifying division for teams that are seeking a National League endorsement for U13.
