TKO Minis Age 4-5
(Birth Years 2020-2021)
The program is directed by Dustin Snyder, TKO Academy Director.
Fall, Spring, and Summer trainings take place at the Kalamazoo Soccer Complex 901 S. Drake Rd., Kalamazoo 49009.
Winter trainings take place at the Next Level Sports Center (The Dome), 12733 US-131, Schoolcraft, MI 49087

TKO Minis offers multiple training opportunities for young players and is designed for players new to the game of soccer.
The goal of TKO Minis is to prepare players for TKO Juniors by adhering to the structure set forth by US Soccer and focusing on 4v4 play with lots of touches on the ball. Players are introduced to basic foot skills and soccer techniques. This program is completely player centered with professional coaches supporting each player's growth.
Full Year Academy 2025-2026
For our TKO Minis we offer a 1-Day Program and a 2-Day Program.
1-Day Program
One training per week focusing on ball mastery and small sided scrimmages. 30/30 Training Model - 30 minutes of ball mastery activities, 30 minutes of 3v3 or 4v4 scrimmages.
2-Day Program
Includes the weekly training above as well as games on Sundays against other TKO Minis. Please see below for Game Day basics and details.
Fall & Spring Days/Times: At the Kalamazoo Soccer Complex
- Wednesday 6:00-7:00pm (1-Day and 2-Day Program)
- Sunday (Games) 11:00am-12:00pm (for 2-Day Program only)
Winter Days/Times: Indoor at Next Level Sports/The Dome
- Sunday 8am - 9am

- 8 practices (+ 5 games in fall for 2-Day)

Cost: Full year 1-Day: $215, Full year 2-Day $329
Uniform: Red training jersey for 1-Day players. Blue and red training jerseys for 2-Day players.

Game Day Details
All games are on Sundays in Fall and Spring against other TKO Academy Players of the appropriate age group. Games are 4v4 or 5v5 (with a goalie).
To ensure a balanced and engaging experience, we do not have set teams. This approach encourages new friendships, exposes players to a variety of coaching styles, and offers fresh learning opportunities.
Plan to:
- arrive 20-25 minutes early (the parking lot will be busy).
- have shinguards on and shoes tied!!
- have your player go to the bathroom before each game.
- bring both jerseys and a full water bottle.
Don't forget to:
- be patient and know all players will make mistakes and learn to solve them as the coach guides them.
- enjoy watching your player do something new! Players will play multiple positions so they may look uncomfortable at times, but this is a good thing as it shows they are learning and growing.
